- Twitter user @zynapsed recently posted two photos, showing her strange collection of dead mosquitoes.
- The tweet eventually went viral on social media as it attracted mixed reactions from netizens everywhere.
- Eventually, we learned that @zynapsed isn’t the only one as another Twitter netizen shared her own collection.
People collect things for different reasons. For some, their motivation could be driven by nostalgia while there are those who do it for self-fulfillment, among others.
That said, we still don’t think we will ever understand why anyone would even collect dead mosquitoes. And yes, you actually read that right!
Last October 9, 19-year-old artist delisha day, who goes by the handle @zynapsed on Twitter, shared two photos that had many people scratching their heads in disbelief. She captioned the images with the words “how it started” and “how it’s going” as she displayed her strange collection.
It began with a single mosquito…
And now she has a lot!
The post quickly earned mixed reactions from netizens, with some expressing disgust and others poking fun at it.
Case in point, someone commented:
“Nice effort.. You saved so many people from getting malaria!”
Another simply wrote:
Meanwhile, a netizen wondered:
“I just can’t process this, ok so you go to ur friends and say ‘oh hey buddy look at my mosquito collection’ and they still remain your friends?”
As of this writing, her tweet has since gained over 16,000 retweets and 115,000 likes. Her collection even made it to 9GAG where we learn that apparently, @zynapsed isn’t alone in her bizarre hobby of collecting her kills.
Twitter user @_chrizha even indicates the date and time of death!
As you can see, this page from her notebook is from way back 2018.
So yes, folks, this world is definitely much, much weirder than we initially thought!
