Zoe Konez is an artist with her finger very much on the pulse of Indie music in the U.K

Since settling in South London, the songwriter has made a point to throw herself into the culture of London’s rich indie music history. Thriving off the buzz of live performance. Aside from her solo projects, Zoe has been a part of numerous band projects, touring regularly and receiving support from Q Magazine, BBC 6 Music and Louder Than War. Developing a reputation as an outstanding performer and guitarist, her social media videos make for an impressive few minutes viewing.

She also showcases some of the countries best new artists with her independent night, Stop Look Listen, she’s put on acts including Eliza and the Bear, Kimberly Anne and Holly Walker.

Her new solo project is an intimate, piano led single showcasing an undeniable songwriting quality. The track also includes some field music influences, with recordings from train journeys and other leftfield soundscapes. It’s a stunning return that forebodes an exciting end of 2018 for the versatile songwriter, who states:

“After self-producing one of the four songs on my last EP, I became obsessed with producing my own music. I’m really excited to put out The Sweetest Thing Is Love, which I really have put my heart into making. Capturing the spirit of the song took some work – I’m not a pianist so it took some work to learn to play the song I’d written! I was keen to bring together a laid back, electronic pop vibe with real-world piano, acoustic and electric guitar. “
